Reconstructive Plastic Surgery is intended to rebuild areas with congenital or acquired abnormalities, caused by tumors, trauma or infection. It is aimed to restore the function and form.
We commonly use:
Skin Grafts: Portions of healthy skin taken from a part of the body ( the donor site ) to cover a damaged area to recover their appearance or function .
Patches: Portions of living tissue with blood irrigation taken from a donor area and transplanted to the region that needs to be repaired .
Expanders: it is a synthetic material, used to provide expansion of the skin to facilitate its repair.
